Yo. uh. today i was surfing the web randomly while i chanced on this.
Materials: Kevlar-Has 10 times the strength of leather. o.0
Leather/canvas which is a composite material-It's thin, stable and has low density
Foam-blown polyurethane-Extra cushioning
Thermoplastic polyurethane-Makes the shoe strong and pliable
Kangaroo leather-Good elasticity
A composite material is a material that has two or more other materials combined together.
Composite materials can both be man made and natural. -
Fibreglass and concrete.Quoted:
"Question: What is Kevlar? The Properties of KEVLAR®.KEVLAR® is one of the most important manmade organic fibres ever developed. Because of its unique combination of properties it is used today in a wide variety of industrial applications. The fibre possesses a remarkable combination of properties that has led to its use in a variety of commercial products since the 1970's
Fibres of KEVLAR® consist of long, interconnecting molecular chains produced from poly-paraphenylene terephthalamide.
General Features of KEVLAR®: · High Tensile Strength at Low Weight · Low Elongation to Break High Modulus (Structural Rigidity) · Low Electrical Conductivity · High Chemical Resistance · Low Thermal Shrinkage · High Toughness (Work-To-Break) · Excellent Dimensional Stability · High Cut Resistance · Flame Resistant, Self-Extinguishing "
